Know the Details. Score Lower — The Easygreen HD Pro+ Review
Share
There's a moment on every approach shot where you second-guess your club selection. You think it's 147 yards but it might be 152. You go with the 8-iron and come up short. You should have hit the 7. That five-yard uncertainty costs you strokes — and it's completely avoidable.
A quality rangefinder eliminates the guesswork. The Easygreen HD Pro+ takes it further — delivering tour-level precision in a compact, easy-to-use package that Canadian golfers can now get through Goliath Golf.
The rangefinder market is crowded. Everything claims to be accurate. The HD Pro+ backs it up with ±0.5 metre accuracy — the same standard used on professional tours. That's not a marketing claim, it's a measurable specification. At 150 yards, you're getting a reading within 18 inches of the actual distance. That's the difference between a confident swing and a hedged one.
The 6× HD magnification gives you a crystal-clear view of the target even on overcast Canadian mornings. Pin lock confirms in 0.1 seconds with a vibration pulse — no lingering on the trigger, no uncertainty about whether you've locked the flag or the tree behind it.
"I've used three different rangefinders over the years. The HD Pro+ is the first one where I genuinely trust every reading. The pin lock is instant and the slope function makes club selection straightforward even on unfamiliar courses."
The slope function calculates plays-like distance based on elevation change — essential for getting accurate club selection on hilly courses. But slope-adjusted readings aren't permitted in competition play under the Rules of Golf.
The HD Pro+ handles this with a clearly marked switch that turns slope on and off in one click. Competition-legal with slope off, full course-management tool with slope on. You don't need two rangefinders.
Canadian golf means variable conditions — morning dew, overcast skies, the occasional light rain on the back nine. The HD Pro+ carries an IP54 weather resistance rating, meaning it handles light rain and moisture without issue. The rubberised grip stays secure in damp conditions, and the strong cart magnet keeps it within reach on your Clicgear without needing a separate pouch or clip.
The built-in rechargeable battery handles over 12,000 measurements per charge via USB-C. For context, a typical 18-hole round involves 30–40 rangefinder uses. That's 300+ rounds on a single charge. In practical terms you'll charge it a handful of times per season and never think about it again mid-round.
Beyond basic pin targeting the HD Pro+ offers:
Continuous measurement — sweep the course and get live distance readings as you scan.
Scanning mode — track multiple targets in sequence without re-triggering.
Pin tracking — isolates the flag from background objects on busy sight lines.
The Easygreen HD Pro+ does everything a serious golfer needs a rangefinder to do — quickly, accurately, and reliably. The slope switch makes it competition-legal without compromise. The battery life means you'll never be caught without power. And the IP54 rating means Canadian weather isn't an excuse.
If you've been playing with a budget rangefinder or relying on GPS apps, this is a meaningful upgrade. If you've never used a rangefinder, this is the place to start.
